All Howwood Curling Club competitions will be played
under R.C.C.C. rules with the exception of the following. Club
Games
1. If any team has only 3 players on the ice 30 minutes after the official
starting time they shall have 3 penalty shots awarded to their opponents.(This
rule is suspended for competitions when rinks have A.N. Other in the pool.)
2. If any team has less than 3 players present
on the ice 30 minutes after the official start time the opposing team
shall be awarded 2 points and 5 ends.

In the event of a team member being unable to fulfil their fixture that individual
shall be responsible for arranging a substitute and for "payment of their
ice fees". Members should notify the Skip when they cannot play and who is
the substitute.
4. When a substitute is recruited the substitute
may play in any position determined by the skip but not higher than the
position of the curler he is replacing.
5. The winner of the competition shall be
the Rink with the most points, 2 points are awarded for a win and 1 point
for a draw. In the event of a tie the following tie-breakers shall be
used in the following order -- Ends scored, shots up and total shots scored
shall count in the event of a tie.
PAIRS
1.
Games to be played over 5 ends. 2. Each
player shall deliver 3 stones at each end. The free guard zone shall apply to
the first 2 stones delivered by each rink at each end.
3. 2 points are awarded for a win and 1 point
for a draw. In the event of a tie the following tie-breakers shall be
used in the following order -- Ends scored, shots up and total shots scored.
4. Substitutes may be
drawn from those not entered or players from the other group.
5. If any team has only 1 player present
on the ice 15 minutes after the official start time the opposing team
shall be awarded 2 points and 4 ends..
