Barrfields Leisure Centre has a swimming pool and gym

At Escape there is Ten Pin Bowling in the arcade by the pier

The Waverley, the last sea-going paddle steamer in the world, makes regular summer sailings from the pier

Caledonian McBrayne runs ferries from Ardrossan to Arran, Wemyss Bay to Rothesay, Gourock to Dunoon, and Largs to Cumbrae, all easliy accessed by car or public transport.

The town centre is a pleasant 20 minute stroll along the prom. There are many specialist shops and multiples to browse through. There is a frequent bus service back to Underbank if your purchases are heavy.

Visit the various cafes, bars and restaurants in town or at the Largs Yacht Haven.

Visit Vikingar and Kelburn Castle to learn about the history of the town.

Walk along the promenade to the Pencil built to commemorate the Battle of Largs (1263) where you will find a small sandy beach.

Watch the many seabirds. Even seals and porpoises appear from time to time.

If you have a car, the opportunities are endless, eg you can visit National Trust Properties and Gardens, shop at Glasgow city centre, Braehead Shopping Centre or Loch Lomond Shores
